You can (and should) maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine, but if you feel exhausted and depressed, it all seems futile. This can be a byproduct of the aging process. For both men and women, hormones naturally decrease with age. This may result in uncomfortable and problematic symptoms such as weight gain, loss of energy, loss of mental clarity, irritability, and loss of libido. With advancements in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), you now have a choice to retake control of both your body and mind. To learn how you can benefit from

What Is HRT?

Hormone Replacement Therapy is a systemic technique to combat the effects of age. The human body performs countless internal functions every second, and hormones facilitate the vital progress of these processes. As we age, we may have more difficulty maintaining healthy bones, muscle mass, and libido. HRT could be the perfect boost your body needs to support its natural capabilities. Dr. Tilak understands the body’s delicate balance between testosterone, estrogen, progesterone and thyroid hormones (among others!).

Personal Consultation

The first step in the HRT process is to carefully monitor your hormone levels so we can bring them into harmonious balance. When you meet with Dr. Tilak, he will thoroughly assess your symptoms and medical history. We are  a judgment-free zone, and we take every matter seriously. Only you know if and when you feel well, and we’ll listen until we find the right solution for your unique set of challenges.

Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

At our clinic, we use plant-based Bio-Identical Hormones, substituting your hormones molecule for molecule. BHRT yields a safer and more effective treatment. It uses no synthetics and no animal derivatives such as Premarin, which is made from horse urine.

Dr. Tilak avoids the complications of synthetic HRT compounds by emulating and amplifying the power of your own biology.

The major hormonal levels that BHRT can optimize include estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, progesterone, and thyroid. Seeing as how these compounds interact with each body differently, Dr. Tilak customizes their ratio to your molecular landscape. As the name suggests, the hormones in your individualized therapy should be identical to those that occur naturally in your body. Dr. Tilak merely wants to tune them up.

In order to optimize the correct BHRT formula for each patient, Dr. Tilak requires an in-depth consultation. After all, you wouldn’t put low-grade fuel in a high-octane engine. Each patient deserves the proper consideration and care.

BHRT FOR MEN

Testosterone is the main driver of the male libido, but finding the right balance is essential in delivering the perfect result for you. BHRT can benefit a man’s sex drive and endurance, but also increase his focus, sleep quality, and ability to attain and maintain lean muscle mass. By supporting his vitality, a man can fend off chronic illness and enjoy longevity on many fronts.

BHRT FOR WOMEN

Night sweats and hot flashes are unfortunate realities of menopause. These are called vasomotor functions, and they are indelibly tied to both the circulatory system and the nervous system. The brain tells the blood vessels how to counter changes in hormonal levels, resulting in a sensation of overheating and fluctuations in heart rate. To treat these symptoms, women can enjoy the benefits of BHRT. When hormones are tailored directly to a woman’s body, she may experience increased vitality, clarity and stress mitigation.

Hormone Replacement Therapy Procedure

From the moment you enter our office, you will be put at ease. Dr. Tilak and his associates will answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and strategize a plan. Our strategy will depend on your current health status, so we begin with a gentle blood draw. This allows Dr. Tilak to see exactly what’s going on in your body.

Once we get the results of your blood sample, our dialogue continues. Dr. Tilak will communicate his findings and explain their dimensions. Using this data, Dr. Tilak can begin to tailor a unique hormone replacement plan for you.

There have been vast advances in the fields of HRT and BHRT over recent years. Gone are the days of troublesome gels and creams. We utilize the pellet and injection methods for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

PELLET THERAPY

Dr. Tilak utilizes pellet therapy, guaranteeing a consistent physiological release without the roller coaster effects of the aforementioned methods. Depending on your eligibility and needs, Dr. Tilak will insert small pellets the size of a grain of rice in the hip area (1-2 for women and 2-10 for men). These customized pellets contain estrogen and/or testosterone for women, and testosterone for men with the occasional estrogen blocker.

INTRAMUSCULAR (IM) INJECTIONS

IM injections offer a variety of advantages. They are safer than topical therapies because they minimize the risk of unintentionally transferring testosterone to others. IM injections last for two weeks, so there’s no need for constant application, as with creams. Injections flow directly into the bloodstream, so they are an efficient means of hormone delivery. You will start noticing the benefits of your therapy within 24 to 48 hours of administration.

Continued Care: Our Difference

This HRT process does not end with the insertion of your pellets. In fact, Dr. Tilak's dedication to monitoring and attention to detail only intensify. You will be in constant communication with the doctor and his professional staff. They will invite you to report on how you feel as the hormone therapy takes effect in your system.

We will routinely check your blood in the 3-4 months following your initial HRT session. If necessary,  we will fine tune your hormone plan to deliver the optimal results you deserve.

Remarkable Results

Aging is a natural process, but it shouldn’t be uncomfortable. Hormone replacement therapy can bring balance to your life by revitalizing the whirlwind of complex chemical reactions within you.

Everyone experiences different results due to the fact that each patient is wonderfully unique.

Generally speaking, however, HRT can boost your energy and regulate your mood. There is even some preliminary data that suggests how hormone replacement therapy can decrease the risk of developing certain forms of dementia.[2] To experience the miraculous benefits of HRT please call 904-298-1994.

Cost of HRT

Prices vary depending on the extent of treatment you may require and the specific nature of your insurance coverage. Pellet therapy is generally not covered by most insurances.  The price range is usually between $100 to $150 per month which includes the cost insertion and the cost of Pellets. We do accept WellCare, as the entire cost of Pellets which are usually replaced every 4 months is included at the time of insertion. Fast metabolizers may need to replace the Pellets after 3 to 4 months, slow metabolizers may need to replace it after 4 to 5 months.
